How Hypnosis Helps with Focus

Step 1: Find a Quiet Space
Start with choosing a peaceful area free of disturbance from anyone. Silence your phone or turn it off. Choose an area where you could relax, either sitting or lying. Close your eyes and count a few deep breaths to unwind.

Step 2: Deepen Relaxation with Breathing
Breathe slowly and deeply. Through your nose, take four deep breaths; hold them for four counts, then gently let them out through your mouth for six counts. This cycle multiple times till you feel relaxed.
Imagine things that upset you, melting away with every exhale as you breathe.

Step 3: Use Visualization to Strengthen Focus
Imagine yourself in a peaceful area devoid of any other activity. A quiet park, a library, or a space with lots of sunlight and a desk are a few such instances. Imagine yourself paying full attention and working. What if nothing or no one is bothering you, yet you are totally concentrated on your work?

Step 4: Give Yourself a Focus Suggestion
Say a good Affirmation over and again in your head, even if it’s silent:
“I am focused.”
“Distractions go away when I’m really into something..”
“My mind is clear, and I can easily concentrate.”
Say it loud and repeat it several times so the words truly sink in.

Step 5: Wake Up and Apply Your Focus
Now take a deep breath, inhale and exhale ……….and count from 1 to 5 in your head. With each number, tell yourself a positive affirmation:1) I am awake, 2)I am alert, 3) I am full of energy, 4) I am ready to use all capacity of my mind, 5)I am prepared to open my eyes, then take a deep breath, open your eyes, and then begin to work with clarity.

Make It a Habit
Like any other ability, practising helps one to improve focus. Do this self-hypnosis exercise every day, particularly before you begin something significant. Over time, your capacity for concentration improves and becomes simpler to employ.
